Producer price indices of industrial products on non-domestic market, July 2023

 

 

 

 

 

Producer prices of industrial products on non-domestic market in July 2023, compared to June 2023, were on average 1.3% lower, compared to July 2022 they were on average 0.2% lower and compared to December 2022 they were on average 3.3% lower.

By purpose of consumption, in July 2023, compared to June 2023, prices of consumer non-durables were on average 1.3% higher, prices of energy were on average 4.4% lower, prices of capital goods were 2.0% lower, prices of intermediate goods 1.3% lower and prices of consumer durables were on average at the same level.

By section of industrial production (PRODCOM), in July 2023, compared to June 2023, prices of the section (B) Mining and quarrying were on average 0.8% lower, prices of the section (Е) Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities were 1.5% lower and prices of the section (C) Manufacturing were 1.3% lower.

By division of industrial production, in July 2023, compared to June 2023, prices increased in the following divisions: Other manufacturing 16.3%; Manufacture of electrical equipment 0.9%; Manufacture of food products same as Manufacture of beverages 0.7%; Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. 0.5%; Manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and plaiting materials 0.2%.

A decrease in prices in July 2023, compared to June 2023, was recorded in the following divisions: Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products 8.8%; Production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers 8.6%; Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products 5.6%; Manufacture of basic metals 3.3%; Waste collection, treatment and disposal activities, material recovery 1.5%; Mining of metal ores 1.1%; Manufacture of furniture 0.4%; Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products and Manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment 0.1%.

In the remaining eight divisions of industrial production, prices in July 2023, compared to June, remained on average at the same level.
